the avengers

After work this afternoon, me & my boys went to see the Avengers. I'm not your average girl...I love action packed movies more than a good romance. I'm weird, I know. Doesn't change the fact that all of the Avengers (Iron Man 1 & 2, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor) are in my Top 15 movies and I was SO pysched to see the all of them in one movie. Mind? Blown.

Right now.
Midnight premier.
Let’s go.

It was great. The special effects were so stunning...and there were a bunch of special effects as you would think there'd be in a action movie. The way the cast worked together to PORTRAY a story of coming together was amazing. The movie people defintely had that in mind when they casted the individual movies. And ya'll. It was dang funny too. There were some seriously hilarious one liners in there, and clean one liners at that. The whole movie was clean, save for a few minor words and low buttoned shirts. I was so glad...some movies count on that stuff to make it stand out. The Avengers just coasted on it's pure epicness.

Happy Saturday readers. I'm off to dream about men with big muscles because...YA KNOW. There was no shortage of tight outfits in the movie. If you'd like to as well, check out my Tumblr. There is no shortage of GIFs and such on there.

little furballs

Around the time Bullet started to get sick, we noticed lots of stray cats hanging around. We named a couple, but sadly our favorite tiny one, Peanut, was run over and the cats dissappeared. Fast forward a couple more months and the one we called Oreo showed up looking awful plump. Again, skip over to the second week of April and we find 5 kittens in our little pumphouse by the pool.

Like any good people, we feed Oreo and looked in on her kittens daily...and when she decided to go party and leave her babies behind for most of the day, we took it upon ourselves to water down kitten food and hand feed them. Thankfully, they got the hang of it pretty quick and feeding them turns into a 30 minute play time full of pure cuteness. Holding them instantly brightens my day after a morning of work.

Meet Annie...

...Peeta...

...Twig...

...and Tony.
I KNOW RIGHT?! Death from kitten cuteness.

Annie was the one that was the last to start eating, but she makes the absolute CUTEST little squirrel noise when she plays with her golf ball and loves to have her belly rubbed. Peeta is the fluffiest and follows in his crazy brother Tony's footsteps...being the bullies and making trouble (which is mostly scaling the pen [and even your legs] and hiding behind the freezer in the garage).  And then there's little Twig, the runt. She is so content, calm, and fits in one hand even though she's doubled in size since we first knew about her.

So does anyone want a kitten?! ;)

i can't escape the scapel ya'll

We had our last Anatomy co-op and both co-ops came to watch Mr. Scott cut open a little baby pig. I struggled with that one, but oh well. If you're squeamish, don't proceed. It is full of guts and juice and basically pig insides. You've been warned.

The crew...MK, Elizabeth, me, Trey, Nate, Clark, Josh, Andrew, Mr. Scott (who taught my chem co-op) & Kaley.

IT HAD TEETH. SHARP TEETH.

We had fun playing naming the organs.

We ended the co-op by measuring the intestines...it was over 6 feet. Whoa.

Even though we were turning more green as we took the organs out, we still smiled and loved on each other.

Nate and Clarky boy.

Kaley & MK

Sweet Elizabeth
And, as strange as it sounds, we went in search of food and ended up at Chick Fil A on my day off to get cookie sundaes. GET ONE. They are so good, ya'll.

If you survived this post, await a letter of gratitude from me for not unfollowing.

CBS 2012

It seems like CBS just started, ya'll. And it certainly doesn't feel like a year since CBS ended last year.

As usual, the kids did the opening and did a GREAT job singing their memory verses and such. Their personalities shine when they sing to the Lord and I beam like all 45 of them are my kids. In some ways, they are. I babysit for a good number of them and watch them grow up. Nothing makes you feel old like realizing you knew a kid that will be in the two year old class before they were born.

But what was I saying? Oh yeah, the kids singing. Precious.

Next week is Sharing Day. I hope I can make it without doing the ugly cry.

just call me a hippie

{Dress/Skirt} beach shop {Shirts} Target {Shoes} Sams {Watch} Target {Belt} Hand me down

I love it when I get two outfits out of one piece of clothing. Ya'll have seen the dress worn as an actual dress,
but since it was pretty dang hot out today, I opted for a swishy skirt. I went around calling myself a hippie the whole day...but looking back I needed a headband and something braided somewhere to really label myself.

May your days be filled with swishy skirts and hippie hair readers. They really do make you want to hug people and flash the peace sign 24/7. But I kinda do that all the time.
