coral is my color {an outfit post}

At least, that's what my bestie Emily says.

It's my first outfit post, readers! ::throws coral colored confetti:: I don't fancy myself anything like my fashion blog heroes Carlotta, Ilene, Sydney, Elaine and so-and-so...among many others. BUT! I thought Simply SA would benefit from some outfits posts since looking pretty is becoming one of my favorite things to do. I kid, I kid...I liked to look pretty before that, but I'm getting a little more adventurous in my outfits & want to share the journey with ya'll.

Oh yes, it's the kickoff to that time of the year: where you rush home from church & catch the beginning of the game, use football as an excuse to eat horrible but oh so good food, and beat your family at Fantasy Football.

My guys, the Green Bay Packers, are facing off against the the New Orleans Saints & this house could not be more excited!! :D It didn't help us calm down that we watched some of the most awesome clips from the past season & I simultaneously got chills & wanted to cry.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch kickoff. Check with me tomorrow when my throat will be sore from "whooo-ing" and I've crashed hard & slept good from cheering so hard.

P.S. This was the best moment in football that I remember. EVAH.

almost wordless wednesday: sunsets

Two of my very favorites ways to see God's presence in my life is to look outside the window & a beautiful sunset or a magnificent rainbow. I mean, who else can make the sky look any other color in blue with the light reflecting off of water droplets or make the sky look like it's on fire when it's really not.

Last night we had one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen in a looong time. God is a God of perfect timing, and that rainbow was definitely in God's perfect timing.
