Grandpa, Gramps, Granddad, Thomas C. Lyons Jr...Whatever we would've called you, it would've been perfect. We'd be wishing you a happy 81st birthday, complete with homemade cards and a box made cake right about now.
But. We're not, and it's as simple as that. Instead, we're left with questions...questions that will never be answered until we see you again, but that's OK. For now, we can ponder those questions and make up answers on our own, like: "I wonder if I'd look like you?" Probably. Dad looks JUST like you, and I look JUST like him, so it's possible. "Would Dad look and talk and walk like you? Again, probably.
I miss you. WE miss you, and I can't wait to meet you on that day. Happy birthday Grandpa.
For those of you readers that don't know, Dad's dad died when he was 13 just after they came back from Africa, where they lived overseas for 3-4 yrs. Therefore, none of the grandkids got to meet him. But we have pictures and wonderful stories to tide us over until we do get to meet him for the very 1st time.

WIWW {8}
Today I'm linking up with Lindsey for WIWW {What I Wore Wednesday}. Initially, it was started to keep Lindsey accountable and wear things {real clothes! gasp!} other than yoga pants and sweatshirts. Now it's blossomed into over 150+ bloggers joining in and sharing fashion tips/tricks for other WIWW particpants.
All the cool kids are doing it. Gussy, Lisa Leonard, Kim, Moriah, and Lindsey herself. I'm not one to buckle under the peer pressure, but I've jumped on the bandwagon. I think it's a great way to show you guys what I wear...without having to wear skirts for a week.
Ya'll, I'm excited about these outifits because 1) I haven't worn most of these pieces of clothing in a long long LONG time and 2) they're just generally awesome outfits.

happy birthday katie!
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Katie, happy birthday to youuu!!
The big twenty-one, huh? That's a biggie. But age is just a number my dear. You've displayed an insane about of maturity that only comes from being the firstborn over the years, and you've given me all the confidence I need to work hard and serving your family in various ways.
So, happy birthday Katie, and here's to another year of Godliness displayed through feminine maturity like you! :)

A week ago tomorrow, the Bible study girls and I threw Katie a surprise birthday party that was literally throw together the night before. It was such a fun time of fellowship along with learning about God's word. The highlight of the night had to be the pictures we took at the end of Bible Study; many thanks to Dad for sticking around an extra couple minutes to man the camera and capture the love in that room that night...
The spread aka NUTELLA & STRAWBERRIES!! Ahem, I'm good. ;)
Surprise!! And, really...she was surprised!
The guests...
{Beautiful Emily}
{Kelly and Katie}
{Pretty Linsday, the owner of the awesome Rainbows above}
{Our lovely leading lady, the super beautiful Miss Lorraine}
After the awesome lesson on God's omnipresence, Dad & Clark showed up and we promised them cuppycakes in exchange for a few group pictures which I may or may not have told anyone about... ;)
{Left to right in all the pictures: Veronica, Me, Kelly, Katie, Linsday, Emily, Miss Lorraine, & Aubrey}
No gathering is complete without a funny face photo op. Apparently I think looking like a fish is funny...
I love how Aubrey is smiling along with Katie and we're all doing our best ::dead:: face!
There we go! Perfect serious picture!
I love these girls THIS much. For reals. We've all grown as friends, especially when I reflect on how we hardly knew each other before this past fall.

Easter 2011 {with pictures}
The morning started with awesome play put on by Liberty University at Landmark Church, it was off to an even more awesome service at our home church.
After lunch at Zaxby's, we loaded up and arrived at Aunt Karen's house to eat cake, take walks in the neighborhood, and generally laugh at anything and everything Clark said/did. What can we say? He's got a great haircut and is pretty handsome. ;)
Apple pie & ice cream = happy SA. It's a known fact, ppl.
Plenty of photo opportunities are seized by the resident photog {that'd be me}. I love capturing my beautiful family through the lens of my beloved camera.
See what I mean? Handsome.
We ended the day with a round or two of Nijnia otherwise known as the most awesome game evah. For reals.
Easter was filled with food, family, and sunshine. My kind of holiday, thank you very much.
