my new bible study

Ya'll, I'm excited. I get excited whenever I think about this Bible study, and that's a new feeling for me. Sure, I've been excited at all my other Bible Studies I've gone to (and I've been to quite a few), but this one is different. I can't wait to crack open the book in the morning and underline all the quotes that speak to me. Between the first two meetings (we meet every other Tuesday) and the video sessions we watch, I've taken an insane amount of notes. And I never take notes, if that tells you anything.
Beth Moore cracks. me. up. She's on fire for the Lord, but is humble and down to earth as they come. Love her!
I wanted to include a picture of my teacher, Miss Lorraine, but after 10 mins of good ol' fashioned Facebook stalking, it wasn't happening. If I think Beth Moore is hilarious, Miss Lorraine, is rolling on the floor funny. For reals! :)
All in all, it's a great time of fellowship with friends like EmilyMoriahKatie, and Sam. I wish I could take all of you readers with me...

preview monday

Remember THIS post? Well, as I was thinking about the blog yesterday (yes, i think about it and occasionally visit a couple blogs on Sunday, but i still don't log into Blogger. just a FYI.) I realized that a preview of the week's upcoming posts is a great idea! Thus, Preview Monday was born. This week's posts follow...
{clark's 1st football game}
{lindsay's birthday post}
 {goodies from gussy and moriah}
 {my new bible study}

So, what do you think about Preview Monday? Yay or nay? Of course I think it's a great idea since Mondays are busy/stressful enough and you don't have to even think about actually blogging that night, but I really want to know what YOU readers think. I'd hate to lose any followers... :)

bokeh

I may or may not have blogged yesterday due to a) it was 7:47 when we got home b) i didn't have dinner until 8, which was okay because i didn't even have lunch until 3:00 c) i had been up for over 12 hours. Your pick!
Again, Lindsay would be proud of me. I know I didn't produce bokeh the way THIS article I found via Swagbucks, but I got some good shots. Wanna see? :)

 Yes, you've seen this one before, but it was the best one of the night. Thus, it gets put back on the blog again...
 If only the colors were more bright and vibrant!
 Note: All the ones above were taken Saturday night, while the below ones were taken yesterday. Personally, I like them better than the others. Thoughts?

 Is there any such thing as too blurry in bokeh? I think I should have focused a bit more on this one, but it's a great shot anyway.

So, all you bokeh people...How'd I do? Were you totally in shock at my posting of these pictures, or did you actually see one you thought looked okay? I know people buy lenses that actually are made for bokeh, but I'm happy with setting my camera on manual focus and shooting away.

clark's 12th birthday

Clark's birthday was this past Sunday, and let me tell you...It was a birthday worth celebrating! Why? Look at the first two pictures below...

 That's right; Clark and Dad got baptized! Our whole family was there to see, and we are so proud of Clark. Now his earthly, physical b-day is the same as his spiritual one. Mr. Stewart (our pastor) baptized Dad, and just as soon as he came up out of the water, he baptized Clark. I love that they have something else to share, besides all the regular guy stuff. :)
 The birthday boy himself:
His pick for his birthday lunch was Rucker John's, and boy was it good!
 I fooled around with the settings on the camera (you'd be uber proud of me, Lindsay!), and got this really cool shot. And yes, that is Dr. Pepper in the glass...

 The guys couldn't wait to get home to watch football (one of Clark's many requests to do that day), so they checked it on Dad's Blackberry.
 Clark got a bunch of cards...

 And a Bible...
Along with some owl bookends that are so cute (he also got over $100 in cash)...

 Another cool thing about Rucker John's: all the waitresses come out and sing a version of happy birthday, then give you this...

 Yep, Rucker John's is my favorite sit down resturant. I mean, look at that thing!
Finally, some potraits of all the family for you readers...

Whew, I think that's it! So many pictures to upload, so enjoy it while it's on the front page. I can't way I'll attempt this feat on Blogger anytime soon.
