verse test {6.03.13}

THE VERSE TEST.

::dun dun dunnn::

The first time I heard that word was when Lindsay Tyndall told me it was the only way I could go to camp my first year. Well, she was right...just not about that year. The Lord provided way back in 2011, and I went to camp a shy little kid amazed at the whole concept of a week away from your home. But Lindsay was right about the other two years...I've taken the verse test and it's the only way I've been able to go to camp. It's a win-win situation: you get scholarship money and/or the price of camp dropped, and you learn tons of God's Word. Can't go wrong.

So that's why I was up bright & early at church on a Saturday after staying up past midnight (studying for the test, mind you).
My studying methods are strange...

...but hey, they paid off. Booyah.
HELLO CAMP.

ti dinner for St. Maarten {4.5.13}

After the yummy yearbook meeting, we trekked over to LBC for a dinner to support the missions trips many of our WOL-er's are going on this summer. Since I'm not going, stuffing my face with Miss Tammy's DELICOUS chicken & pastry and take pictures of my talented friends. The whole family tagged along and it was just an awe-some, God-honoring night (get it?).

PHILLIP.
Hey Hannah, your dad is my new hero! ;)
I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH.

Conner being serious about something. SHOCK.

Have I mentioned I love this girl lately? CAUSE I DO.

We ended the night by cleaning up and singing at the top of our lungs in the parking lot. Good times with my insanely talented friends.

scenes from the weekend

Love my Saturday shifts...they are SO busy, but so much fun!

Midnight QT time. LOVE <3

Sweet sleep. I took a few cat naps this weekend.
Nursery duty even though we haven't had any babies in months!

Yay for purple shirts!
Extra long snack time at youth group is so awesome.
Mr. Chuck is one amazing youth pastor.
I wasn't the only one taking pictures.
TI Service night ahhh!

Sweet Abbey...I miss this photographer friend!

I fishtail her hair. She models it.

We finally got to go out to eat with everybody after WOL!
Going over all the pictures and videos from that night.

Just a few snapshots in between selling chicken, school, and socializing. Weekends are the best, foreverandamen.

scenes from the weekend

As always, random snapshots from the weekend. They are a far cry from perfect, but the are real life and I'm cool with that.

OHMYWORD SNOW. I stared out the window for hours.

Poor Tardis was in a frozen state most of the weekend.

It's a winter wonderland!
Something ya don't see often around ENC.

Twig preferred to stay inside...it was her first time seeing snow and she
was mesmerized.
Tons of DW and a little bit of Pysch. Oh Netflix how I love thee.

What we woke up to Sunday.

I wore no tights & a short-sleeved dress to church. Wild child, yo.

Clark threw a snowball at me and I took of picture to document he missed.
The drive to church was so super-duper pretty & peaceful.
ACTS at youth group means a beast of a volleyball game.
Pastor Chuck is the best...he played too.

I posed with the shadow me from last year (hence the super short hair). Pictures by Rachie.

Just the way I like to spend my Sunday nights: laughing with friends.
Kaley's in my lap & Meg's sitting beside me laughing, probably at something I said.
How was your weekend, readers?

1/20/13

wol acts {1.20.13}

After a longgg weekend of work, school, and Regeneration promo sthuff, we had a great time at ACTS. It was at Mr. Curtis & Mrs. Tina's house, and let me say they are the coolest grandparents ever. I had such a good time, I only took ONE picture (worth sharing, that is)...but it sums up ACTS pretty dang well.

Fellowship. Sitting surrounded by your friends. Flashing peace signs (Kelly & I are sassy, wanna-be gangster like that). God has blessed me with the bestest youth group ever. I love it there and will probably never leave (and you think I'm kidding...) because of the amazing things I learn about God. And ACTS.

Now, before you think I brought my camera out into the teenage world and only took one picture...that's not true. Jack took my camera and started snapping, and I happened to be in some of them. But I'm saving those beautiful (SARCASM) photos for later this week.

Stay tuned, readers.

STORM '12

STORM was a week ago, and even though it was different than last year's, it was still amazing. The incentive of 40 lbs of ice cream worked, and we had a great turnout considering it was a Sunday night. Kids accepted Christ after a great worship time/message & that made the night ALL worth it.

Some of us didn't have anyone to run and get, so we stayed behind at LBC, helping set up. Mostly we just entertained ourselves and took pictures of each other in between laughing fits. Half the pictures I have documenting that night are blurry because we were laughing THAT hard but the ones that weren't blurry are still so precious to me.

I avoided the volleyball game because balls hate me and always end up hitting me in the face.

Conner sings all my favorite songs. He's so talented.

SO GORGEOUS I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT.
Still gorgeous.
geez, I love these two SO much.

Surprise of the night: my Boland gang came! I was so happy, and everyone knew it. STORM wouldn't have been the same without them.

Me & my FSIL! <3
Such a gorgeous, Godly young woman who's birthday is in 12 DAYS! She's groowing up so fast ::sniff::

Hehehe. Cutie.

Gotta love him.
Blurry, but I HAD to include it in the post to show the hilariousness of the night.
Kaley girl! <3
We had to copy Sam & Jack. I just added a face.
If you've ever happened to be in the same room as Jack & I, you know we are WEIRD, capital everything just like I typed. Our pictures are nothing less. Enjoy our (silly) faces.

Mocking me. What am I gonna do with him?
I didn't know he was behind me, so that face of digust is not about him. FYI.
After the aforementioned showing off of our super talented praise band and powerful sermon by Mr. Brain, it was finally ICE CREAM TIME ::sings:: Ice cream and cake, ice cream and cake and cake!

Waitin' in line (patiently? maybe not.)

YUM.

I only ate half, Jack finished it up for me.

Mom joined us & the Bolands, Kaley, Clark  & I all sat around the table doing even MORE laughing.

SO ADORABLE.

This is her "Jack, you're annoying me with the camera take the picture already!" face. It's still so pretty.
The Boland's are just really attractive people, OK?!

Caption THIS.
Rachie & Parker came in & we ended the night with more songs.

I love my youth group & our special events, I love my friends & we have a flippin' good time together, I love Jesus & what He does in people's hearts. Gist of this post, readers.

Happy Sunday!
