i can't escape the scapel ya'll

We had our last Anatomy co-op and both co-ops came to watch Mr. Scott cut open a little baby pig. I struggled with that one, but oh well. If you're squeamish, don't proceed. It is full of guts and juice and basically pig insides. You've been warned.

The crew...MK, Elizabeth, me, Trey, Nate, Clark, Josh, Andrew, Mr. Scott (who taught my chem co-op) & Kaley.

IT HAD TEETH. SHARP TEETH.

We had fun playing naming the organs.

We ended the co-op by measuring the intestines...it was over 6 feet. Whoa.

Even though we were turning more green as we took the organs out, we still smiled and loved on each other.

Andrew

Nate and Clarky boy.

Kaley & MK

Sweet Elizabeth
And, as strange as it sounds, we went in search of food and ended up at Chick Fil A on my day off to get cookie sundaes. GET ONE. They are so good, ya'll.

If you survived this post, await a letter of gratitude from me for not unfollowing.

confetti egg hunt {4.10}

Early in the morning, we went out to attempt to hide all 93 dozen eggs...we had so many eggs and so little hiding spots that I had the crazy idea to spell out Happy Easter. I think we only used a box or two out of the 10 we had to spell it. Look close and see if you can make the words out!

Wanna know how to hide 93 dozen eggs?! Put them on your fence and watch out for the crazy cat trying to eat them.

Or you can just throw them out in the yard like we did towards the end.

The snack table before all the goodies arrived...

Chatting it up with the Poppe's...I love that family.

Waiting around for everyone to arrive...I loved seeing everyone in their little groups branch out and introduce each other.

Let the games begin! In other words, see how many friends can give you a minor concussion in one afternoon! All photos by Mama...I was too busy running for my life.

When the Poppe's came earlier, we tried to hide one egg where it would be kinda impossible for most people to get. We placed bets
We spent the rest of the afternoon picking out confetti of each others hair, taking pictures, snacking, and laughing. Photo evidence below.

I felt bad for the curly hair girls.
Little Miss Elizabeth aka photographer in training.

The Bolands made the trek over to our county and I'm so happy they could make it...Lydia was adorable the entire time.

Jack is her favorite.

Grace.
 See? Cutie pie alert ya'll.

See? Laughter.

I am so happy we got to host the egg hunt this year and even happier all the families we invited could make it! Thanks for the memories, guys.

3/2/12

and you thought my heart surgeon days were over

Well think again!

Last Friday I helped with the boys co-op...I hadn't been in a while (I used the time they were gone to blog at the Coffee Shack) and since they were going to dissect a cow's heart as well, Mama asked me to come. I officially never want to see a cow heart again.

Before all the juicy, meaty stuff took place, we played Jeparody with all heart-related questions.  I'm currently begging Mama to do it for Kaley and I at our next co-op ;)

These questions are hard, yo. Seriously, even I had to think hard about what the answer was.
The machinery that made it all possible...

I can't decide if they are concentrating or just confused.

At the last question they all used their heads to buzz in.

Mama is a natural.

Keeping score.

Hahaha, the Furloughs LOVE it when we let them take pictures. Nate's camera strap was so fitting, don't ya think? ;)

After the Jeparody game, we had snack. Yes, snack and a Jeparody game. I'm pretty sure the boys co-op is better than mine.

Brownies and cupcakes in a heart shaped pan. We is so smart.

Don't worry  Josh, it's confusing to me too.

Onto my crown and glory: the heart dissection. The boys faces and reactions were priceless.

Trey read the instructions when Miss Danielle couldn't take it anymore.

Surprisingly Elizabeth wanted in on the action.

Josh hoping to let the heart knowledge seep through his ears ??? Too funny.

Nate was into it. Seriously, he had the best time.
